I didn’t envy the panel having to select a final six from the many performances that captured the Welsh public’s imagination over the last 12 months and look forward to finding out who the public crown BBC Cymru Sports Personality of the Year at the awards.

“The Wales Sport Awards is an evening of celebration and a wonderful opportunity to thank those who have inspired and motivated us. Those who have worked tirelessly in their local communities to provide opportunities for people to enjoy sport stand shoulder to shoulder with those who have represented Wales at the highest level.  Together they highlight just what sport brings to people in Wales.”
